Supporter/Practitioner training workshop
Living life to the Full for young people (LLTTF-YP) is a series of live classes for young people facing problems like low mood/depression, or stress/anxiety. The content can be delivered to young people with a wide range of severity- so can be appropriate for use in mental health/ education/schools/prevention/public health/community/third sector settings to build wellbeing.
It can be used as a universal intervention, or focused on young people with identified distress.
This training workshop teaches supporters/practitioners how to teach the LLTTF-YP classes.
NB: Needs a class training license – available separately.

How to use this Resource
This is a live online training course for trainers/supporters of the LLTTF® classes.
It is designed to train your team/trainers to deliver the licensed class resources.
How are the classes delivered?
The class teaching workshop covers all the key steps to set up and deliver the LLTTF-YP classes. How to advertise. Who is it for? Setting up the classroom experience, and an overview of the key content of the LLTTF-YP programme.
Covers how to use all the resources to teach the classes:
You will get to self-practice using many of the key class worksheets.
Also covers how to facilitate small groups, and overcome common class issues (e.g. over-talkative or silent attendees).

Translations: There are a range of current translations of the LLTTF-YP classes. This includes French and Chinese versions (Canadian-produced versions).

This course is for supporters/practitioners only. It will help you learn the skills needed to set up, advertise and deliver the LLTTF-YP classes.
About the Author
About the Author:
Dr Chris Williams is Emeritus Professor of Psychosocial Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and Past-President of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). His main area of interest is making Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches accessible to all.
He is an internationally recognised researcher, teacher and trainer.
The young people resources have been developed with inputs from schools and youth services in the UK, and Canada. LLTTF-YP was funded by the Canadian Mental Health Association. A national programme of LLTTF-YP is also delivered across Ireland via the charity AWARE.
In Pakistan, a pilot study used Urdu versions of the books in classes, with significant benefits to young people.
