Working with a support worker: Some people using this course may be receiving additional support from a health, social care or voluntary sector worker. It is suggested you inform and show them the available resources and discuss how they might helpfully complement – the support already being received.

The self directed course can be used in several ways:
a. Unsupported – e.g. people access and read online
b. With 1:1 support e.g. dentists, or dental team members such as a hygienist, dental nurse or for use in IAPT /NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression Step 2 etc.

Dr Chris Williams is Emeritus Professor of Psychosocial Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and Past-President of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). His main area of interest is making Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches accessible to all.
He is an internationally recognised researcher, teacher and trainer.
