Supporter/Practitioner training workshop
My Big Life (MBL) is aimed at young people in their final year of primary school, or first couple of years at High School.
It can be delivered as classes as part of a universal school or community-based intervention, or in a targeted way as classes or individually with young people who are currently distressed.

Short class-style presentations cover specific topics – including Understanding feelings, Doing things that make you feel better, Looking at things differently (thinking), Practical problem solving, and Relaxation.

This training workshop teaches supporters/practitioners how to teach the MBL classes.
NB: Needs a class training license – available separately.

About the Author:
Dr Chris Williams is Emeritus Professor of Psychosocial Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and Past-President of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). His main area of interest is making Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches accessible to all.
He is an internationally recognised researcher, teacher and trainer.
The children and young people resources have been developed with inputs from schools and youth services in the UK, and Canada. LLTTF-YP was funded by the Canadian Mental Health Association. A national programme of LLTTF-YP is also delivered across Ireland via the charity AWARE.
In Pakistan, a pilot study used Urdu versions of the books in classes, with significant benefits to young people.
